Stimulating group discussions with moderation methods
Opinion survey & mood
- Flash: Quick answers given in turn give an overview of the mood or opinions of the group.
- One-point question: Enables a quick assessment of a specific topic or question using a structure (grid, scale) on which everyone sticks a point. Example: How high is your confidence on a scale of 0-10?
Brainstorming & creativity
- Brainstorming: promoting a wealth of ideas and diversity without immediate evaluation.
- Card query: Collecting individual ideas or answers on cards.
Structuring and grouping information
- Clusters: Organizing and grouping ideas or contributions according to similarity of content, e.g. with cards. (Image – see Döttigen retirement home, AK60, Sasis)
Decision-making and prioritization
- Multi-point query: By allocating several points (e.g. 3) to different offers, priorities can be set.
Deepening and personal exchange
- Partner task: Promotes personal exchange and the consolidation of topics in smaller groups.
