A material store for generations
Many, many years ago I was visiting my parents.
I said: “Unfortunately, I don’t have much time. I have to go to the DIY store quickly to buy some screws.”
My father asked: “What kind of screws do you need?”
I said: “M5 hexagon 30mm long.
My father stood up and left the room. A few minutes later, he returned with the desired screw. He certainly stored these in his small workshop for several years, if not decades.
He said: “Here, now you can stay longer and you don’t have to buy anything.”
Today I have an impressive collection of useful leftovers in my workshop. Sometimes that’s also the main reason I get visitors…
