The future of future development
Future development will also continue to evolve. Digitalization and more data will lead to new insights. But it will still never be possible to predict the future exactly because we never know what will happen tomorrow. People don’t always behave rationally either, making strange decisions or fighting over a small island.
Forecasts are difficult, especially when they concern the future
When it comes to future development, it’s all about the right pace. The industry has developed slow food, slow travel and slow fashion for people for whom everything happens far too quickly. Deceleration seminars are always well booked.
However, we can’t really stop the rapid pace of future development, like Don Quixote tilting at windmills. However, we can deal with it sensibly by, for example, setting times in which we develop into the future and building in periods of rest in between.
