Procedure Delegation 1: Ensure a fit between task and person
Aufgabe:
Before you delegate, prepare yourself. Check whether a task can be delegated at all. Sit down: find a task that can be delegated.
As soon as you realize that a task is suitable for delegation, make it concrete. Sit down and clarify exactly what you want and what you want to achieve with it. What do you want to hand over (task) and what should ideally result from it (goal/context)?
Person: As soon as you have a good grasp of the task, think carefully about who you want to or can delegate it to. Ask yourself:
Who is available?
Which person can best solve the task?
Which person can complete the task the fastest?
Who is motivated?
Who learns the most from the task?
Who has to take on the task so that the team, the company and the customers get the best benefit from it?
Decide what has priority: fast/successful task completion (performance) vs. learning and polyvalence.
Performance: The task is given to the most proven employee, who then becomes even better. Learning: The latter (polyvalence) means a situation in which as many team members as possible are able to master as many tasks as possible. This suggests that an inexperienced employee is given the task so that they can learn to master it.
